Try a match

The watch, in your browser

Run a match on a Garmin, Wear OS or Apple Watch with its own buttons and swipes, or your keyboard, and see what it does at every moment. It's a made-up match, and nothing is saved.

Try a match: a round Garmin watch with a match running, a hint beside each button saying what it does now, and the time controls beside it

Try a match needs JavaScript. Here's how it looks.

The real rules

It runs the same match as the watches, checked against the same cases: the clocks in the three styles, stoppage, the halfway break, added time and its alert, goals with the scorer's number, cards, half-time, extra time with its own toss, the shoot-out and full time.

Hints and a tour

A hint beside each button says what it does right now, with the key to press. Take the tour for a half in eight steps, or skip ahead to the halfway break or the end of the half at up to 60 times the speed.

Your match screen

Change the screen under the watch, or set it up on its own, and it shows from the next match, as on a watch. Signed in to LawFive, Try a match uses your own screen, your next match and your watch.
